realogics CMS removal
One of our longtime clients Realogics came to us to have their site updated and rebuilt, to reflect the changing real-estate markets, as well as to update the functionality of the website. While the overall look of the site was not changed the site was made larger to accommodate higher resolution monitors, as well as to put more information on the screen.
We started by removing an old outdated, and overly complicated content management system, (text pad) and replaced it with W3C standards compliant HTML. Next we removed some unnecessary flash components and replaced them with jQuery animations. We then added a new top level menu item for their new brokerage and a news section for the home page. Now the site is easier to use, it loads faster, and is SEO friendly and thus more easily searchable (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc).
The new site can now be managed by Realogics admin staff using Dreamweaver with minimal HTML knowledge.
