  • Use IE7? 'Yup, thats a taxin'.

    One Australian online retailer is now taxing their users who browse with IE7.

    Considered the 'world's first tax on internet explorer 7' the team at Kogan.com found that their developers were spending far too much time trying to iron out bugs with the website in IE7.

    Customers are given the choice to download a new versions IE or a different browser, to avoid paying the tax.

  • Student Banned from Documenting and Blogging Her School Lunches

    Do you Remember your school lunches?

    Back in New York my lunches were bad, warmed canned veggies, pizza with a type of editable cardboard for crust, topped a dab of red 'sauce' and a sheet of cheese that you could remove as one whole piece, all washed down with a mini-carton of chocolate milk.( which I could not drink since I was allergic to it - 'sorry youngin juice cost way more than milk' )

    In retrospect the lunches only cost like 25ยข so it was a deal

  • Young Males Losing Place as Most Important Tech Demographic

    Young males between the ages of 18-35 have long been the biggest demographic of tech users, but now women are poised to overtake them.

    According to research - in western countries, women use the internet 17 percent more then their male counterparts and are the biggest users on social networking sites.

    The tech tools of choice for this upcoming demographic?

    Mobile phone usage is higher among women and they have the majority of ownership in all internet enabled devices such as readers, healthcare devices and GPS.
